Tyler brings a background you won't find on many youth baseball rosters. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Tyler served as a Captain and Army Aviation Officer before returning to his roots in the game he's always loved.
Tyler played outfield through high school before an injury ended his playing days, but it never ended his connection to baseball. He's been coaching in some capacity since high school, and after his service, he found his way back to the dugout and never left. He currently coaches multiple teams with Bluffton Youth Sports and helped build the Lowcountry Sealanders from the ground up.
Tyler's not building a resume. He's building something he'd put his own kid in, and he did. Easton is on the 9U roster. He started the Sealanders because he believes the Lowcountry deserves a program that competes and still makes baseball the best part of a kid's week.
He also believes baseball shouldn't be a second job for a nine-year-old. The Sealanders are multi-sport by design. The kids who fit here play other sports, run with other teams, and come back to the diamond because they want to. He lives in Bluffton with his wife Devin and their kids.
