Membership Classes

Four distinct classes — each with defined roles and clearly limited authority. Nobody wears all the hats.

Elected

The Board

Elected by Parent Members at the Annual Meeting for two-year staggered terms. Sets the direction of the organization, governs its finances, and is accountable to the families it serves. No team manager sits on this board — by design.

Voting Rights Full vote on all governance, financial, and organizational matters
Appointed

Team Managers

Appointed by the Board to oversee operational functions. Responsible for scheduling, program structure, and administrative policy. They answer to the board — not the other way around.

Voting Rights Vote on scheduling, administrative policies, program structure, and operational matters brought before them by the Board. No vote on org finances or board seats.
Appointed

Coaches

Appointed by the Board to lead or assist in player instruction. They bring expertise and energy to the field. Their input shapes the game — not the budget.

Voting Rights Vote on team rosters, practice formats, on-field policies, tournament selection, and player development. Votes on roster and tournament matters are binding within Board-approved parameters; all others are advisory.
Member

Parent Members

Parents or legal guardians of currently registered players. Automatically enrolled upon player registration. The people this org exists to serve are also the ones who govern it.

Voting Rights Elect the board at the Annual Meeting. Hold all four formal oversight mechanisms including recall authority.

Parent Oversight

Parent Members aren't just customers. They hold four formal mechanisms of accountability — no handshakes required.

Annual Meeting

Held once per year before the primary season. Open to all members — financial summary, organizational report, board elections, and open forum. Votes require a quorum of 25% of active Parent Members.

Formal Concern Process

Any Parent Member may submit a written concern to the Secretary. The Board must acknowledge within 7 days and respond in writing within 30 days. All concerns and responses are logged and available to Parent Members on request.

Special Meeting Request

A petition signed by a majority of active Parent Members requires the Board to convene a special meeting within 30 days. No waiting for the annual calendar.

Board Recall

A petition signed by two-thirds (2/3) of active Parent Members initiates a recall vote. Removal requires an affirmative two-thirds (2/3) vote at a duly noticed special meeting with quorum present.
